Oct 8 - New Stuff
Alright here is my 2nd entry within a month on the website. I told you I would set it up a bit!!! New record!!! Here are some of the new developments going on. One is I have my music on Radiofreetexas.org now. Log in and request as much of my music as you can!!! Also don't forget to go on over to tmtr.net and request Weldon Henson. Both report to the Texas music charts and both are a great way for others to here my music.
Also, I want to thank Chris Mosser for including my single Tryin' To Get By to his weekly roadhouse Sunday Night Texas Show on KVET. It runs from 7pm to midnight on FM98.1 every Sunday here in Austin. Call him up or email him for more of my music!!! He's a great guy and I greatly appreciate him including me on his programs!!! We're going to get the ball rolling on this radio stuff so more folks can hear what I have to say (or sing about)!!! Also, want to say thanks to JB Cloud up in Abilene for including a couple of my tunes into the rotation there at KBCY 99.7 Abilene. We Always have fun up there!!!!
Again, I want to say thanks to those folks who
continuously show their support at the live shows because I can't thank you all enough!!! I thoroughly enjoy everyone's company at the shows and it makes me feel like I'm doing something right around here.
We have a few road shows coming up and I can't wait to see all the familiar faces out there that I normally don't get to see!!! Check the schedule and find us somewhere.
One more thing for those of you in Austin, Weldon Henson and the Hired Guns will be performing on Good Day Austin, the fox morning show here on Tues Oct 21. We should go on around 7:25-7:30ish. Early, but I know there are some folks up that early around here so check it out!!! Now I just have to make sure I'm up that early to be there. LOL!!!! Once again, thanks everyone.

Sept 22 - Great summer
Hello everyone, I can't believe summer is finally over. The band and I had lots of fun as we traveled to various places all over the state of Texas to play. This year has flown by!!!! I made lots of changes recently to the band and if you haven't been to a show in the past couple months you need to. Both Wes and L.C. decided it was time to move on so you need to come out and hear my new drummer Duane Hamilton and new steel player Joel Weinstein. Both are a fine compliment to the band and I thank them for jumping on board!!! With that being said I want to personally thank Wes and L.C. for their time and dedication. Both are great players and I wish them the best.
For those of you waiting for a new album to be released I have decided to start recording this coming January. The release date should be somewhere around May 2009. I know that seems like a long time off but with the way time has been flying by lately that could be just around the corner. Also I haven't decided which songs I am actually going to record yet so if you have requests for any of my originals that I haven't recorded please let me know.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone out at the shows and want to thank all the folks who show their continued support for my music!!!

June 2 - Moving Forward Hey there, once again I find myself waiting extremely too long for entries. The past few months have been full and great things are ahead. I've had the privaledge of playing from San Antonio to Houston and up to Abilene and back to Austin and in-between. Been very pleased from the turnout and responses from all over the state. C.D's have been moving and everyone's let me know how much they're enjoying the music. I've made many great new fans lately and I am thankful to have them aboard. The summer schedule continues to be full and we're playing many well established venues this summer. Please make it a point to come out to a show and provide your support, check out the schedule for a date.
Things are moving forward as I got my good friend Brennon Manske (check out his band as well if you get a chance) down here now helping me on the Myspace page and Elizabeth helping me with the small details that help run the band from day to day, as well as my bandmembers who show there commitment and talent at every show. Also check out www.texasandmusic.com . Click on the musicians link and find my name. There are pictures as well as live video clips for you to view. Carole has done a wonderful job with her site and I am very,very appreciative of her support. She is the best!
New stickers and coozies have came in!!! Pick one up at a show, also they should be added to the website store very soon.
Things are finally rolling here and I'd like to personally thank my fans for there continued and relentless support. The best is still yet to come and Very close. Keep checking back for updates and for new scheduled events. Look forward to seeing everyone out.
One more thing, go to www.tmtr.net and request a Weldon Henson tune. They report to the Texas music chart and I should have my music on many more internet radio sites soon for people to request and hear my music!!! Also for those of you in Austin, you can pick up a copy of the CD at Waterloo Records and Cheapo Records!!!

Mar 19 - Been Busy Hello everyone!!! Its been a while since I last wrote but things have been extremely busy as of late!!! I've been busy booking shows, promoting, being my own manager, and trying to find someone to start doing those things for me. On top of that I've been writing new music and keeping the band sharp!!! We just came off a great weekend down in Houston and I appreceiate everyone that came out and partied with us. The entire weekend was a blast! The schedule is still full so check it out and find a date or two to come out and enjoy a live show.
While your here check out the new website changes etc.. and give me some feedback. I'm dong this pretty much all on my own and trying to learn it as I go!!! Be sure to tell your friends about the new CD that was released a few months ago and remind everyone to scoop one up from my online store or at a live show.
I would like to thank everyone out there that supports me by coming out to the shows and spreading the word!!! I would also like to thank those folks who help me out by doing the small miscellaneous things that make all the difference in the world!!! Last but not least thanks to my band; Trey, Wes, and L.C. They are the guys that put up with me from the time we leave to go to a show until we get back. Sometimes that means listening to and doing things that aren't as much fun and take a little patience!!! I couldn't do any of this if not for everyone above. You all know who you are.
